A big thank you to Colchester Brewery for generously donating match day beer and Man of the Match awards. Colchester Brewery produce a range of characterful beers for drinkers in Essex an it's neighbouring counties with an ethos that places it at the centre of our local community.
Our home away from the Garrison Grounds and namesake, The Odd One Out (“The Oddie”), stands firm as an institution amongst Colchester's pubs.
Many of the experienced beer drinkers of Colchester and the surrounding area have very fond memories of cutting their beer teeth in the pub during the 80s and 90s. During these years, The Oddie stood alone as a free house offering a wide range of cask ales while brewery-owned pubs offered the typical narrow range of their own beers.
Never losing its place in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, it became renowned for not only its wide selection of interesting and well-kept beers but also for its quirky décor and John Parrick's (the landlord’s) fondness for house rules.
The Oddie was reborn under Colchester Brewery on 1 May 2017. Tom and his team have made retaining the pub's its unique character the number one priority. The pub offers a diverse range of beers which include two permanent Colchester Brewery beers, and four other handpumps that change all the time.
